Nationally syndicated radio hosts Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy, and Angela Yee of The Breakfast Club are weighing in on Maya Angelou's death.

Check out what they had to say in regards to Dr. Maya Angelou.

Angela Yee:

“As an English major, I really grew up reading Maya Angelou. She was one of my favorite authors growing up. Obviously, [I loved her for] I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings. Everybody had to read that in school and that was my favorite book growing up. I just appreciate the inspiration she has given to people throughout the years of her life. She was somebody that was always has the best quotables. I’m happy that she had a nice long life. She lived to be 86-years-old and she influenced and touched so many people.”

Charlamagne Tha God:

“It’s sad that Maya Angelou passed. She lived a long life to 86-years-old. I just feel like she’s one of those people whose long life is going to speak for itself. She’s one of those people who definitely left a legacy in her body of work. It’s going to remain with us forever because 95% of every quote that people put on Instagram and Twitter is a Maya Angelou quote and they just don’t know it yet. It just saddens me that all these chicks are going to be googling Maya Angela quotes now and realizing that the deep words I text them in the morning are not mine. So, rest in peace Maya Angelou.”

DJ Envy:

“We lost and amazing person today (5/28). Of course, in school we were required to read her books and [students still read her books today]. She was a monumental person and she will be missed.”

Maya Angelou was found dead in her Winston-Salem, N.C home by her caregiver according to a comment Mayor Allen Joines made to WFMY 2.

The cause of her death was unknown at the time of press.
