Netflix has teamed up with none other than Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson for a bombshell docuseries on Sean “Diddy” Combs. The series is set to dive deep into the serious charges that have surfaced against Diddy, including sex trafficking, racketeering, and some pretty disturbing accusations of sexual assault and violent behavior.
50 Cent first spilled the tea back in May, letting the world know that Netflix had secured the rights to tell this intense story. Now, the streaming giant has confirmed the news, and while production is still in the works, we can expect this to shake up the culture when it drops. Directed by Alexandra Stapleton (House of Nonfiction) and executive produced by 50 himself (G-Unit Film & Television), this docuseries is expected to go way beyond the headlines
Stapleton and Jackson dropped a joint statement, saying, “This is a story with significant human impact. It spans decades and digs deeper than what we’ve seen in the headlines. While the allegations are hard to ignore, we can’t forget that Diddy’s story isn’t the whole story of hip hop. We’re here to shed light on the truth without overshadowing the culture’s contributions.”
As of now, Diddy is sitting behind bars at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, held without bail. To make matters worse, on September 24th, a new civil lawsuit hit the table. Thalia Graves accused Diddy of sexually assaulting her at his NYC studio back in 2001—and selling a video of the whole ordeal. She’s the 11th person to step forward with claims against the former music mogul.
If that’s not enough, there’s more Diddy drama in the works. Another docuseries about him is set to air on Investigation Discovery in 2025. Safe to say, this is a story that’s only getting started.
