Thank you Amir 🙏🏽 so many don’t know the history 21 years in Radio #Repost @amirqshakir with @get_repost ・・・ DJ BEE 1998 and me and my bro @mickbenzo_the_art_of_rap were hanging out at the Nile Club in Newport News, Virginia after a @therealmaryjblige concert in the area. It was late and there were only about 5 of us in the club. I heard the DJ going straight BANANAS on the mix and he sounded like a mixture of Philly's @djjazzyjeff and @djcashmoney _________________________________ I walked up to the DJ booth and asked the DJ if he was from Philly. He said he was and asked how I knew that. I told him his scratches and cuts sounded like straight Philly turntablist flavor. I introduced myself and he introduced himself as @djbeeonline - I asked for a tape and gave him my card. I told him to meet my at @103jamzradio the next day after 12noon. _________________________________ When i got to take radio station The next day, I told the President of the radio station all about the DJ they HAD to hire. She heard his tape and couldn't wait to meet him. The young man showed up the next day and was hired on the spot. ________________________________ It's going on 21 years and DJ Bee is still holding it down at 103 Jamz. He's the owner of Fresh Radio and is a 'boombap' DJ doing parties all over Virginia and out of state. He's now connected with the great @kooldjredalert and he's like a baby brother to me. I'm honored to have been a part of the jumpstart of this great man's radio career.
