Fulton County, Georgia authorities indicated that the recent Surviving R. Kelly docu-series inspired investigators to look into claims against Kelly. And now, Cook County, Illinois State’s Attorney Kim Foxx is closing in on Kells. She says her office has gotten calls from at least two families that are looking for loved ones who they believe are living with the singer. While no new criminal charges have been announced at this time, Foxx wants any victims or witnesses with information to come forward.
Foxx called the Lifetime docu-series, “deeply, deeply disturbing” and said, “I was sickened by the allegations. I was sickened as a survivor. I was sickened as a mother. I was sickened as a prosecutor.”
