TeeRoy's 2 Cents:
- The Cardinals are next set to play Thursday in St. Louis against the Chicago Cubs.
- The Miami Marlins and Philadelphia Phillies have also had to several postpone games due to COVID outbreaks on their teams.
- It seems the NBA's plan to compete in a "bubble" has proven safer than baseball's decision to have teams travel to other cities.
- At this point it seems unlikely we'll see a 2020 World Series, but you never know.
Major League Baseball suffered another big blow on Monday after seven players and six staffers with the St. Louis Cardinals tested positive for coronavirus, forcing the postponement of the team's four-game series with the Detroit Tigers.
St. Louis hasn't played a game since July 29th, when they were beaten by the Twins in Minnesota. Then the team started losing players when they tested positive for COVID-19, forcing them to postpone a three-game series against the Brewers in Milwaukee.
John Mozeliak, president of baseball operations for the Cardinals, said, "It's hard to think about the future when you're literally just trying to get through the day." (USA Today)
