Reflection on a Legacy: Building for the Present through Persistence, Perseverance and Pride will highlight the local history of African Americans in the City of Virginia Beach and the first school for African Americans in Princess Anne County. Councilman Aaron Rouse is the keynote speaker. The event is open to the Virginia Beach community. This event will launch for a year-long initiative which, among other things, involves current VBCPS students interviewing the original 38 students who were eligible to integrate into VB schools.
