Community Conversation: School Safety

Community Conversations about school safety will feature a panel discussion with local parents, students, mental health practitioners, and former Norfolk Police Chief Larry Boone.

Barbara Ciara, from WTKR, will be moderating this conversation and will be joined by Randi White from 92.1 The Beat.

Shana Alexander – Parent of students at An Achievable Dream Academy which is near Heritage High School.

Dr. Jennifer Moran, Clinical Psychologist with CHKD’s mental health program

Dr. T.A. Warren, Navy Commander, PHD in Clinical Psychology, has worked locally as a psychologist

Newport News Police Department

There will also a be a live Q&A session with the in-studio audience as well as people watching from home who can participate via WTKR’s livestream or social media channels.

This is a partnership with WHRO, WTKR, and iHeartMedia Norfolk--103 JAMZ, 92.1 The Beat, and MOViN' 107.7.
