Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, is suspected to be making good progress in her battle against an undisclosed form of cancer, royal family expert Richard Fitzwilliams claimed to the Sun based on recent public appearances made by her husband Prince William.
Prince William, 41, was seen watching a soccer game with the couples' oldest son, Prince George, 10, last week and also appeared at a food distribution charity in Surrey, England, on Thursday (April 18) for the first time since Kate, 42, publicly announced that she was undergoing "preventative chemotherapy" in March. Fitzwilliams said that both of William's outings were designed to give the public reassurance on the princess' recovery.
“Royals realize that every single thing they do sends a message in one way or another.” Fitzwilliams told the Sun. “It sent this message that things some things are going on, more or less as normal.”
Prince William previously made his return to the couple's joint social media accounts by paying tribute to English soccer star Rachel Daly after she announced her retirement from international play. The post was shared weeks after Middleton initially revealed her diagnosis in a video.
Middleton announced her cancer diagnosis after undergoing a "planned abdominal surgery" in January and speculation of her whereabouts in the weeks following. The princess' announcement also came two months after King Charles, 75, announced his diagnosis for an undisclosed form of cancer in February.
