Wiz Khalifa has been indicted in Romania for sparking up a joint on stage during a concert.

According to a report Romania-Insider published on Monday, October 21, the Pittsburgh-born rapper was indicted by the Constanța Tribunal for illicit drug use following an incident that occurred during Wiz's set at the "Beach, Please!" festival in Costinești. Fans might remember the footage that went viral in July which showed the "Black & Yellow" rapper lighting up a joint while he was on stage. Wiz was swiftly arrested after his set. He was released later on but authorities continued to investigate the situation.

“Investigations revealed that during a performance at a music festival in the Costinești resort, Constanța County, he possessed more than 18 grams of cannabis (a risk drug) and consumed another quantity of cannabis on stage in the form of a hand-rolled cigarette," Romanian Police said in July.

Recreational use and possession of marijuana is illegal in Romania. If convicted, Wiz could face a fine or three months to two years in prison. According to the law, he could face six months to three years if he was in possession of "high-risk drugs." Wiz hasn't addressed the indictment publicly yet, however, he did issue an apology after he was released from custody over the summer.

“Last night's show was amazing. I didn’t mean to disrespect Romania by lighting up a joint on stage," he wrote on X. "They were very respectful and let me go. I’ll be back soon. But without a big joint next time."

Wiz Khalifa is currently focused on raising his new baby daughter and promoting his upcoming project Kush & Orange Juice 2. He recently dropped his new single "Khalifa's Home" along with the accompanying music video. Watch it below.
