Young Thug's legal team is back in court to request a vital update to the rapper's 15-year probation terms.

As part of his probation, Young Thug, born Jeffrey Williams, was ordered to stay away from Metro Atlanta for 10 years. According to a report 11Alive published on Tuesday, December 10, Thugger's attorneys filed a motion last week asking a judge to allow the 33-year-old artist to visit or live at his home just outside the Metro Atlanta area. The key update in his probation would make it easier for Williams to spend time with his family and friends during the holidays and other lawful occasions.

"Mr. Williams has family in the metro Atlanta area, specifically in the Atlanta, Georgia area and respectfully requests the ability to reside/visit, at times, in his home located in the city in the attached, under seal, document so that he can have family gatherings for holidays and other lawful reasons with his family, friends and business associates, which is a home already owned by Mr. Williams," the motion says.

Young Thug's attorneys also requested an update in his probation terms regarding his home in Florida. According to Florida law, the rapper's address must be made public. Thugger is understandably worried about his privacy in the Sunshine State so he requested to seal it since he's a public figure. His probation officers in both Georgia and Florida did not object to both requests. A hearing will be held to determine the final outcome. As of this report, it's not clear when the judge will make a final ruling on the amendments.

Young Thug was released from jail at the end of October after spending over two years in jail due to the YSL RICO case. As part of his supervised release, Thugger will be allowed to enter the Metro Atlanta area to make mandatory anti-gang presentations at schools four times a year. He's also barred from promoting gang activity and must do 100 hours of community service each year of his probation.
