Fivio Foreign has been sitting in jail for the past three months after he was hit with multiple charges following an alleged incident that happened in January.
According to a report TMZ published on Thursday, March 20, the New York native was arrested and booked into a New Jersey jail for allegedly pointing a gun at a woman who asked if he would help jumpstart her car at an apartment complex in Edgewater. The woman alleged the "City of Gods" rapper aimed the weapon at her and said, "If I see you parked in front of this building again there is going to be a f**king problem."
The alleged incident happened on New Year's Day. Witnesses reportedly recognized Fivio and called the police. Authorities obtained surveillance video from the apartment complex appeared to confirm the woman's version of events. Police arrested the 34-year-old on January 18 and charged him with five offenses including aggravated assault, illegal possession of a weapon and making terroristic threats.
Fivio, born Maxie Lee Ryles III, has been in jail since his arrest. His attorney Adam Lustberg thinks the case is weak, to say the least. He told TMZ that police never found a gun on Fivio in the first place. He's convinced the NY drill artist will be out of jail within the next few months.
Fivio Foreign was arrested two days before his song "PlaqueBoyMax" hit streaming services. The song is a diss track aimed at the popular streamer with stray shots at Kai Cenat. Fivio made the track after PlaqueBoyMax booted him and Lil Tjay out of his Airbnb for smoking after he asked them not to. After the song dropped, Fivio gave Max props for handling the situation "like a G."
