Sauce Walka broke his silence a day after he and his artist Sayso P were shot.
On Saturday, March 22, the Houston native and his artist were struck with bullets in a shooting police believe was targeted. The two rappers were outside of the Westin hotel near the FedExForum when a white four-door vehicle pulled up and multiple people opened fire. Sauce Walka was shot in the leg and was rushed to a hospital. Unfortunately, Sayso P, born Latorian Hunt, passed away at the scene.
“This incident was not a random act of violence," the Memphis Police Department said in a statement. "MPD is committed to bringing those responsible to justice.”
Sauce Walka was treated for several gunshot wounds to his thigh. He was released within 24 hours after the shooting and is expected to make a full recovery. The Saucefather told fans he's doing fine after the deadly incident. In a video The Superior Shop posted on Sunday, you can see Sauce with bandages covering the gunshot wounds on the left leg. He paid his respects to his late artist and declared he still plans to hit the streets once again.
"RIP Sayso P man," Sauce said. He was on FaceTime with his dad at the time and asked him how many time his family's home was shot up when he was growing up. “45 shots when I was 15 years old... This s**t ain’t nothing new.”
As of this report, police are still investigating the incident. No suspects have been arrested. See the recent video of Sauce Walka and watch what The Breakfast Club had to say below.
