Melyssa Ford wants Drake to pay up after the "Nokia" rapper featured her on new merch for his and PARTYNEXTDOOR's new album $ome $exy $ongs 4 U.
The former video model appears on a hoodie Drizzy dropped after he released the music video for "Nokia" earlier this week. A link that reads "videovixens.ca" is listed toward the bottom of Ford's image and it leads straight to The Joe Budden Podcast's Patreon page. On the latest episode that dropped on April 1, Ford recalled the moment when she saw herself on his merch and even sent Drake a DM demanding a check.
“What the f**k is going on?!” she asked. “Where’s my check? Where’s my f**king check? That’s what the f**k I want to know.”
Ford claimed Drake used her image without permission. She also explained that the photo came from the first calendar she ever appeared on. Ford's appearance on Drake's merch isn't too shocking to loyal fans. He also namedropped her while dissing Budden on his other recent hit "Gimme A Hug." “Melyssa Ford, you a legend from the 6ix, hate to see you with a d**k sucker," he raps.
Even though Drake dissed him, Budden wasn't fazed by the alleged attempt to troll him and Ford. In fact, he praised the shameless plug on Drake's new merch and the album. “That’s dope,” he said about the merch. “That’s super dope. I f**k with that.”
Fans were convinced that Drake was the one who connected the link on the merch to Budden's podcast. However, that's not the case. Budden's manager Ian Schwartzman recently explained that someone from the podcast's team bought the domain and redirected to the podcast's Patreon. Watch Joe Budden's reaction below.
