If you’re from the 757, this one hit a little different.
Sunday night wasn’t just another Grammys performance. It was Clipse stepping onto the Grammy Awards stage for the first time ever. After all these years and all these CLASSICS!
And they didn’t do it alone.
Pusha T and Malice performed “So Far Ahead” with Pharrell Williams right there with them. Same trio. Same roots. Just a MUCH bigger stage!
The performance was simple but powerful. Blue lighting. Snow falling. Voices of Fire singing behind them in Louis Vuitton. Check it out below:
Earlier in the night, Clipse picked up their first Grammy, winning Best Rap Performance for Chains & Whips. Not a “finally” moment for the 757, because we’ve always known.
Their album Let God Sort Em Out, the first Clipse project in 16 years, already proved they weren’t coming back just to relive old moments. Fully produced by Pharrell, with features from Nas, Kendrick Lamar, and John Legend, it reminded people why their name still carries weight.
And if you’re wondering whether this was a one-and-done moment, Malice has already said nah. This isn’t the end of anything. It’s the continuation.
Virginia Beach didn’t need this moment to validate Clipse, but it was nice to see the Grammys meet the 757 where it’s been all along.
