Norfolk's Own Keyshawn Davis Opens 2026 With TKO Win in NYC

I’m not gonna pretend I know all the boxing terms, but I DO know when somebody from Norfolk is outside doing their thing.

After a rollercoaster 2025, Keyshawn Davis kicked off 2026 on a high note, winning his fight Saturday night at Madison Square Garden. And not just winning, he finished it with a late TKO, which I do know is a big deal.

Keyshawn dropped Jamaine Ortiz in the 11th round and closed it out in the 12th. Even more wild, this was the first time Ortiz has ever been stopped in his career. Translation for the ones, like myself, who may need it a little simpler: Keyshawn really handled business.

The win keeps him undefeated at 14-0, with 10 knockouts, and honestly, Madison Square Garden might just be his spot. He’s already won a world title there before, so at this point it feels like good luck.

After the fight, Keyshawn said he wants Devin Haney next.

From the city to the big stage, it’s always love seeing one of ours win.
