Fans have been begging for new music for a couple of years now and Rihanna finally confirmed there IS a reggae album on the way. Her actual response was simply "Yeah" when asked. She just doesn't know the release date....nor is she locked on the album name. As far as the name goes, she's leaning towards R9 which has been influenced by her fans.
"So far it's just been R9, thanks to [my fans] the Navy. I'm about to call it that probably, 'cause they have haunted me with this 'R9, R9, when is R9 coming out?' How will I accept another name after that's been burned into my skull?"
Collaborations? Cancel the Lady Gaga and Drake rumors. Although she's not opposed to working with Gaga, when it came to Drizzy she said "That's not happening anytime soon. I don't see it happening. Not on this album, that's for sure."
For now, her focus is her upcoming Fenty fashion line and of course her cosmetic line. This has to be the most highly anticipated album that barely exists in history, but it's coming....at some point.
