Minneapolis Black Man Dies After Being Pinned Down in the Neck By Officer

Rest in peace, George Floyd.

He can be heard yelling, "I can't breathe, please, the knee in my neck!"

Minneapolis police arrived to a forgery in progress call and apprehended the now victim, George Floyd. Upon arriving, the officers were advised the suspect appeared to be under the influence and according to a statement he "physically resisted officers." Once he appeared to be suffering medical distress, the officers called for an ambulance where he later died at the Hennepin County Medical Center.

Per Mayor Jacob Frey, the four officers involved have been discharged, but citizens are not satisfied and are calling for these officers to be criminally charged immediately. "Being black in America should not be a death sentence," said Mayor Frey.
