Kanye West Drops Presidential Bid

"We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States !#2020VISION," - @kanyewest on twitter

That tweet is now null and void. Kanye has officially dropped out of the Presidential race about as quickly (and last minute) as he jumped in! According to Intellengincer writer, Ben Jacobs, he reached out to West's publicist initially, but the team went "dark." He then followed up with Steve Kramer, a get-out-the-vote specialist, who replied with "He's out."

"Everyone has their personal decision about why they make decisions. Running for president has to be one of the hardest things for someone to actually contemplate at that level,” Kramer added.

Kanye had already hired staff and volunteers to help him gain signatures and needless to say, they are very disappointed to hear he has decided to suspend his Presidential bid. Just one day ago it was announced he'd gotten 2% in the first US poll since announcing his intent to run for president - that's progress.

So, no #KANYE4PREZ this election year. Sorry to break the bad news.
