New Documentary to Explore Janet Jackson Super Bowl Wardrobe Malfunction

17 years later we're going to get better insight into what exactly happened during Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake's Super Bowl Halftime performance in a documentary, "Malfunction: The Dressing Down of Janet Jackson."

If you recall, Janet suffered a major wardrobe malfunction that left her exposed and blackballed ever since. This year, in particular, Justin Timberlake decided to address the situation and apologize to Janet publicly.

Justin isn't the only one to speak out about the malfunction this year. One of Jackson's stylist for the halftime performance, Wayne Scot Lukas, made claims that Justin planned to expose Janet and the outfit was essentially malfunction-proof. “I wouldn’t call it a wardrobe ‘malfunction’ in a million years,” he says. “It was the most functioning wardrobe in history. As a stylist, it did what it was intended to do.” Lukas believes the entire intention was to out-do Timberlake's former girlfriend, Britney Spears.

We'll hopefully get more clarification when the documentary premieres November 19th on Hulu and FX.
