Norfolk, Virginia Psychiatrist Testifies in Depp v. Heard Trial

This Depp v. Heard trial has been entertaining, to say the least. It got a little spicier when Norfolk, Virginia-based psychiatrist, Dr. David Spiegel of Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) testified in the trial. He went on record saying Depp's behavior is consistent with someone with a substance use disorder, as well as a perpetrator of intimate partner violence (IPV). He also noted he sees traits of Narcissistic Personality Disorder in Depp.

Dr. Spiegel's online reviews are now in shambles from Depp fans and others who watched the nearly hour-long testimony.

Depp is suing former wife Heard, 36, for $50 million for defamation following the publication of Heard’s 2018 Washington Post op-ed where she refers to herself as a “public figure representing domestic abuse.” Although she doesn't specifically name Depp in the publications, he claims it devastated his career and reputation, costing him millions of dollars in work. Depp for $100 million, saying he defamed her when his lawyer told the press she had made up the abuse allegations.

Heard is countersuing for $110 million citing he defamed her when his lawyer told the press she had made up the abuse allegations.
