The trial is set to begin between Tory Lanez and the State of California as it is related to the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion and he has just been hit with his third charge.
The newest charge is felony negligent discharge of a firearm. This is in addition to the assault with a semiautomatic firearm charge and the carrying a loaded and unregistered firearm charge. Tory Lanez hinted recently that he was facing 24 years in prison. It is unknown at this time how much additional time the newest charge will carry.
Jury selection has begun more than two years after Megan Thee Stallion says she was shot in the foot. Not long after the shooting she hopped on Instagram live and alleged her shooter was Tory Lanez.
Opening statements are set for next week.
