Just a day after a shocking video surfaced showing Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a Los Angeles hotel, the music mogul has issued a public apology. In an Instagram video, Combs addressed the disturbing footage, expressing deep remorse. "It's so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life," he shared. "Sometimes you got to do that. I was f---ed up. I mean, I hit rock bottom. But I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable."
Taking full responsibility, he continued, "I'm disgusted. I was disgusted then when I did it. I'm disgusted now. I went and sought out professional help. I had to go into therapy and go to rehab." Interestingly, Combs did not mention Cassie, whose legal name is Cassandra Ventura, in his apology.
The disturbing footage, obtained exclusively by CNN, shows Combs running down a hallway in a towel and socks. Upon reaching the elevators, he throws a woman, presumably Ventura, to the ground, kicks her twice, and drags her out of view.
This incident directly supports the allegations in Ventura's November 2023 lawsuit against Combs, where she accused him of physical and sexual abuse. The lawsuit was dropped the next day after reaching an undisclosed settlement.
As the story unfolds, it's clear that Combs is attempting to take steps toward accountability. However, the impact of the video and the allegations continue to reverberate through the entertainment industry and beyond.
