Pharrell’s Something in the Water festival has hit the pause button for 2024. In a message shared on the festival’s Instagram Friday afternoon, Pharrell explained that the event “just isn’t ready yet.” Originally planned for October, the festival will now take place in April 2025.
Tickets for the two-day festival had just gone on sale for Virginia residents Friday morning at the Veterans United Home Loan Amphitheater. If you already snagged tickets, don’t worry—those who purchased with a card will automatically be refunded. For cash purchases, refunds will be available at the amphitheater’s box office.
This isn’t the first time the festival has had to make adjustments. It was initially moved from its usual spring schedule to October to avoid weather issues. Last year’s final day was canceled due to storms, so it seems the decision to push the event back again might be a way to ensure a smoother experience.
Pharrell is known for putting on an epic show, so while fans will have to wait a little longer, they can likely expect something special when Something in the Water returns in April 2025. Stay tuned for more updates!
