Actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner, best known for his role as Theo Huxtable on The Cosby Show, has died at the age of 54, according to TMZ.
Warner rose to fame in the 1980s, earning an Emmy nomination for his breakout role as the Huxtables’ only son. He went on to star in the sitcom Malcolm & Eddie, voiced the character Kwame in The Magic School Bus, and even found success in music, winning a Grammy in 2015 for his contribution to the song “Jesus Children” with Robert Glasper and Lalah Hathaway.
In recent years, Warner was hosting the podcast Not All Hood, with the latest episode released just days before his death.
He is survived by his wife and daughter, though he kept their names and family life private.
Warner was 54.
